- -P0128 THERMOSTAT RATIONALITY CODE IS PRESENT, TECHNICIAN VERIFIED THE FAILURE IS WITHIN THE THERMOSTAT ITSELF AND NOT A WIRING ISSUE. THE THERMOSTAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, AND THAT IS WHAT WE RECOMMEND.
- THERMOSTAT HOUSING – Remove & Replace – Gas,Normally Aspirated
- Inspect hoses and clamps. Pressure test cooling system. Flush engine, radiator, and heater core in both directions. Bring Antifreeze to -35 degrees. PH balance coolant to between 9.8 to 10.5. Check thermostat and electric cooling fan operation. Check thermostat and electric cooling fan operation.
